Audit sampling for internal audit: CPE Intensive

11 March 2011, MELBOURNE
01 April 2011, BRISBANE
19 May 2011, ADELAIDE
Audit sampling enables an internal auditor to obtain the required audit evidence in the most efficient manner. An internal audit assessment of an internal control system requires the internal auditor to decide on the quantity and quality of audit evidence. As 100% examination of a population is not always feasible, nor cost-effective, internal auditors often draw samples from a population when designing and performing tests. The results are then evaluated to obtain the required audit evidence and to extrapolate the results to the larger population. This interactive program introduces key concepts in internal audit sampling.
